Hi Everyone!
Thankyou to all the people who have finalised their fees for the rest of 2010. This makes my job so much easier!
Thankyou to all the parents who have finalised all their costume deposits also!!!
Thankyou to all the Dads that have volenteered their time, I will get back to you asap. We so far have approx 12 but need more!!!!
TERM 3
All overdue fees for term 3 will be charged at $12 per class if not paid by Friday 27th. Costumes will not be ordered for any students with outstanding fees which will result in not being able to perform at the shows. Fees are supposed to be paid before the start of each dance term. Because 80% of the school dont do this I will be need to change the fees structure AGAIN next year. There will no longer be term fees (unless under special arrangement) it will be semester or yearly only.
COSTUMES
All costumes deposits both first and SECOND PAYMENTS also need to be finalised by the 27th, this Friday. (If you are having trouble making this date please drop me an email).
If for any reason your child will not be doing the end of year performances this needs to be advised before the end of term as after that all costume deposits will be non-refundable!
Costumes samples have been ordered and sizing will start as soon as they arrive. Most costumes for classes have been calculated and we have tried our upmost to use any specials available. Most classes are averaging anywhere from $175-$200 for their combined costume total. These prices are cost only, with no mark up. DKK does not profit from costumes, it is purely freight/gst and insuring the costumes.
CONCERT AND POLLS
Due to the high number of students this year I have decided that we will be having a junior and senior show.
This means many beneficial things:
* Little kids will not be waiting for hours
* parents will not need to be back stage as the seniors will help run the junior show(s)
* more room in the dressing rooms/no overcrowding
* concerts not as long
* juniors get to watch the seniors and vice versa.
My only concern is deciding if I will need to have 2 junior concerts or just the one. At this stage the seniors will be doing Friday and Saturday night 2 shows.Seniors at this stage being all classes from .....
* grade4 jazz and up,
* intermediate contemp and up,
* grade 5 tap and up.
Juniors
* lil tackers,
* lil boys,
* big boys
* g1,2&3 jazz
* junior contemp
* g2,3&4 tap.
* So far they will only be doing the 1 show on Saturday afternoon.
I need some kind of an indication as to how many parents/students(seniors etc) will be interested in going. The theatre does only seat 400 so I would hate for anyone to miss out. To help me decide, please go to the website and vote how many tickets you will need for the juniors show.I have also been offered a professional photographer to come up from Perth to take photos backstage of each dance group etc. I'm undecided on this, some input would be appreciated. There will be no profit made by dance kix for this. He will just send proofs and he will charge for the photos direct to the parents. To help me decide, please vote on the website if you would buy from the photographer.
