Selected Hampton Senior High School and moved to Perth to do Modern and Contemporary dance studies.

Ms Bev Dunlop was the best teacher I ever had.

Hampton Senior High School had a Specialised Dance Programme for learning all facets of dance, from learning different styles, teaching workshops and a variety of dance teachers.

Studied Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Ballet, Spanish Dance, Belly Dance.

Did dance tours to remote areas including teaching young children.

1996-2007

At 18 years old, moved back to Karratha and opened "Kristie's School of Dance" which, in Term 3, merged with Melissa Rickards' "Karratha School of Dance."

Taught Jazz/Hip-hop, Contemporary and Ballet.

2008

Relaunched as "Dance Kix Karratha"

Teaching Hip-hop Jazz and Contemporary.

170 individual students on opening.

2009

"Dance Kix Karratha" incorporated Tap classes via teacher Cassandra Harmsworth who had been Kristie's student since 1996 from the original "Kristie's School of Dance"

230 individual students.

2010

Ky Nuttal started teaching Big Boyz classes.

Yalande Hudson & Kylie Bassett joined DKK teaching Lil Tackers and Lil Boyz, and giving Kristie a break from Grade 1&2 Jazz classes on Tuesdays (for the first time in 14 years! lol)

325 individual students.

2011

2 boys classes, approximately 50 boys!
